The age-old question for shoes is always, what size fits me? The answer, I’m happy to say, isn’t an elusive as it might appear. And even if it were, I’m here and happy to help!

Sarah Flint shoes are sized using the standard Italian numbering - these are equatable to US sizing up until size 38. Meaning, if you wear a US 6, your true size in SF shoes is a 36. I am a 7.5 in US sizing, so my size in SF is 37.5. Over the size of 38, the sizing is slightly different. Currently, Sarah Flint styles range from 34-43 IT, or 4-13 US. I have it on good authority (from Sarah Flint herself!) that the size range will be increasing to sizes as small as a US 3, and larger than a US 13!

After size 38, you’ll notice on the sizing chart below that one Italian size can cover up to two American sizes. While this chart will help you find your true size, each shoe style will have size and fit recommendations on their respective pages. If a shoe style tends to fit more snugly, you’ll see that noted on the page.

If you have wide or narrow feet, you may find that you need to size accordingly.

I have semi-wide feet, and find that I feel more comfortable in sizing up in heels with a pointed toe, or heels with an enclosed toe. In these styles, I prefer to size up a half size to a cozy 38. Heeled sandals are comfortable in my true size, 37.5.

If you have narrow feet, you may find that sizing down a half size or choosing narrower silhouettes to be comfortable - for example, the Natalie flat is naturally more narrow than the Sacchetto or slingback flat styles.

How to tell if your shoes are too big:

If your heel slips out of the back of the shoe, it is too large for you. Consider sizing down a 1/2 size.

How to tell if your shoe is too small:

If your toes feel very cramped or if the shoe feels extremely tight all the way around, consider sizing up a 1/2 size.

Sarah Flint shoes will fit comfortably snug when you first try them on. With wear, the leather will stretch, molding to the shape of your foot. The shoes will stretch across the widest part of your foot as you break them in, but they will not stretch in the length.
